Overview:
Today, Employment Relations is no longer simply a matter of following a set of regulations. Managements, employees and their representative bodies need to be proactive and build effective relationships based on common goals and aspirations and not just react by trying to keep the lid on disputes that can become highly destructive.

 
 Who should attend?
This training is for people who are, or soon will be directly engaged in employment relations management.
Entry Requirements:
Prospective participants must have attended the three-day Maccauvlei Intro to Employment Relations Programme and need to be proficient in English (reading and writing) .
Certification:
Upon completion and assessment successful learners will be awarded a certificate of competence.

Managing disciplinary hearings, communication and questioning skills.
Exposure to fundamental elements of the Labour Relations Act.

Gaining vital diversity and conflict management skills.

Understanding of the disciplinary, grievance and appeal procedures.

Entrenched learning with robust models, reinforced by vigorous discussion, debate, and videos.

A clear understanding of the roles and relationships between external dispute resolution structures.

Delegates learn specific steps and skills to build ER policies, procedures and practices designed to increase employees' performance, not levels of litigation.
