Overview:
Change is inevitable, but it s not inevitably for the good of the organisation. It needs to be managed effectively. This three-day training programme provides a management team with the competencies and tools to direct and promote change. It covers the context and relationship of organization development (OD) and change management, the changing world of work and the identification of burning platforms.

Objective:
Patterns of strategic change and defining the scale of change are discussed and the issue of organizational culture and climate is covered. Models of change are outlined and discussed, including those of Kurt Lewin, an action research model, a generalized OD model, John Kotter’s eight-stage process of creating change and the Burke-Litwin model.
The ten keys to successful change are disclosed and issues such as
force-field analysis, re-engineering, the soft elements of change and
the role of consultants in change management are covered. Also a section
to communications, leadership, motivation, teamwork and empowerment.

The Presenter:
Edmund Rudman is currently Manager of the Strategy unit at the Maccauvlei Learning Academy. He has a doctorate in Business Economics, specializing in strategy and MIS, and a Master’s degree in Business Science from UCT.
Edmund has extensive experience as a management consultant to a wide range of organizations, including many blue-chip companies, and has taught at several universities and business schools. He is often invited to be a guest speaker at strategy workshops and conferences.
Over the past four years he has facilitated more that 100 strategy workshops including several international assignments. |
